To provide the best programming possible, please read below about swim lesson policies.

  • Parent/guardians:
    • must stay in the building during program time.
    • must take children to the restroom and it is encouraged this be done before lessons start.
      • Staff members are not able to escort children to the locker rooms or restrooms.
  • ​​Make-up classes are provided only if the the YMCA must reschedule a session.
  • There are no refunds for for missed classes or sessions not attended.
  • The pool could close due to thunder or lightning, fecal incident, or glass incident.
    • In the event the pool closes due to weather, the entire pool deck must be vacated. 
    • When possible, families will be notified via text message or phone call to communicate the temporary closure and reschedule of a lesson date.
    • If notification before lesson start time is not possible, i.e. the lesson has started and the pool must close, the coordinator will contact you about rescheduling missed time/minutes of the lesson because of this.
  • The pool operates with a daily schedule. Please consult the schedule for YMCA member swim or utilize a guest pass if you wish to reacreationally swim.
