SUMMER DAY CAMP: ATHENS-MCMINN FAMILY YMCA

At the Y, kids have the opportunity to experience physical and engaging activities that encourage them to make friends, have fun, and get active! Through guided play, children learn to respect themselves and others, work out their differences, and discover the value of friendship. This summer, we are going to have a blast with daily activities, swim lessons, arts & crafts and more!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
If your child will not be attending due to any reason on any given day, please text us using the REMIND APP or email us at ecc@athensmcminnymca.org. Excessive absences can result in being dropped from the program.
- Drop off & pick up will take place each day drive thru style at the YMCA in the lower parking lot.
- Drop off starts at 7:30am each day. Campers must be picked up by 6pm each day.
- Between the hours of 9am - 4pm, please park and come inside the YMCA to pick your child up at the front desk.
- If you arrive and do not see staff within 1-2 minutes, please call (423)745-4904 to reach our team.
- Please have your license/identification ready for pick up so staff can match you up with our authorized pick up list.
- Groups are supervised at all times by YMCA staff/camp counselors.
- Campers are broken into small groups per age/grade.
- Programming [activities, arts & crafts, huddle groups] will take place each day between 9am - 4 pm.
- If your child arrives late or leaves early, he/she might miss some programming that day.
- Programming/activities are based on weekly themes found below.
- YMCA campers will swim at the YMCA on Mondays and Tuesdays. Pack a swim suit and a towel!
- The aquatics team will provide group swim lessons in June before free time takes place!
- Meals and snacks are provided by the YMCA, starting with breakfast. Email ecc@athensmcminnymca.org with questions or concerns.
