The Y is one of the nation's leading nonprofits strengthening the foundations of community through cause driven programs in the areas of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Athens-McMinn Family YMCA opened the doors to the current location in 1975 and now serves over 12,000 people annually in McMinn County. This includes serving close to 6,000 children annually in our programs through Afterschool Care, Summer Fun Camp, Y-CAP, Year-Round Meal Program, swim Team, and swim lessons.
Everything the Y does is in service of making us—as individuals and a community—better.
