When applying for financial assistance, documentation must be included with the form itself. After turning the items into the front desk, a letter will be sent home in the mail within 7 business days. This will notify you/the family of your scholarship amount applied to the membership or program rates. A form can also be picked up at the front desk.
Applicants may receive a scholarship amounting to 10-40% reduction in membership and/or programming rates.
With the help of United Way of McMinn and Meigs Counties, The YMCA has been able to provide thousands of scholarships each year. In the year 2016, over $20,000 in scholarships were made possible with United Way and our supporters. Without their help, many families and individuals would not have the opportunity to develop a healthy spirit, mind, and body in order to lead the most fulfilling lives possible.
